Two teens are facing charges after a meet-up to buy a dog in Vaughan turned violent and ended with a man stabbed.
Officers say a man and woman met up with another couple on Wednesday night, just north of Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue.
The victims say the other couple were interested in buying their dog, but during the meeting there was some kind of argument and the dog’s owners were attacked.
The man was rushed to hospital with a stab wound, though he is expected to survive. The woman was also attacked and officers say her phone was stolen during the assault.
The dog was not stolen or harmed in any way.
On Thursday, police say a 19-year-old man and 15-year-old girl were arrested.
The older teen’s name was not immediately released and the girl cannot be named due to her age.
