Mision Is Loving God & Loving Others's Profile

Bible speaks of having a loving relationship with your neighbors, not once or twice but
eight times. Loving your neighbor as one would love himself is not only repeated in Bible but
also is a command, a command that is not just amongst the list of others, instead, Jesus coupled
the command with loving God, with all of the heart, strength, and soul.
Loving others as one would love himself is not easy, it’s challenging since human is born with
self-love and that love with the same intensity is difficult to be shared with others. However, it
acts as a golden rule and is beautiful when one obeys this command. Loving others entails one
should be receiving love first because one cannot give what he doesn’t have. Therefore, loving
others is equated with receiving God’s love as he is the source of love. It is to understand that
God loved us first.

Having a love for others also involves loving oneself as well, as to love others as
yourself requires for one to love himself. If Jesus died and went through what he went through,
he did so because of the love he carried for us. Hence, it’s upon us to love what he loves, which
is us. Learning to love ourselves as Jesus loved us teaches us the art of loving others, helping
us in loving others.
Love entails a degree of grace in it, knowing that God is love is not enough. One needs
to develop on this idea, which is like having a field with good soil, and with the seeds of love
which must be planted and cared for, so they fruit as we love others. This is what the mission
of loving God and others entails. Loving others as yourself entails compassion, as one cannot
sit idly in pain and would try everything to get rid of it. Similarly, a compassionate person
cannot sit carelessly while he sees others suffering, he tries with the best of his abilities to help
others.

Loving others being concerned about the well-being of others, it makes you observant and
notices when others need your help. Hence, you would be able to offer help from the smallest
things as a sticking out clothing tag to the more serious things like saving them from an
accident. Love helps people to adopt a caring and observant attitude. Which helps to build
strong relations based on trust and mutual benefit.
From letting people get in front of you in line at a store or whether you are stuck in traffic.
Loving people is to serve them, as kindness is listed as an attribute of love. If a kind thing is
done out of duty it no longer remains love. It entails one to have the heart to serve others as
yourself. It entails sharing their joys and sorrows, forgiving them and speaking kindly with
them. As God forgives easily, loving others as yourself involves passing on forgiveness to
others.
