Durham police are sharing the results form their “In the Zone” campaign, where they targeted school and community safety zones.
Officers from the Traffic Services branch and all divisions patrolled the zones during the week of September 5-9, as kids went back to class.
Police handed out 1,343 tickets, including 765 for speeding. Other tickets included 140 for stop sign violations, 10 for distracted driving and six vehicles were impounded for stunt driving.
