Nine new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Durham on Thursday, active cases rise to 54's Profile



On Thursday, nine new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham.

There were no new deaths, so the region’s death toll remains at 181, with 152 linked to long-term care or retirement homes.

To date 1,773 cases have been reported in Durham.

Of those 1,538 are listed as resolved.

There are 54 active cases in the region. All are at home in self-isolation.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Thursday:

Pickering — 589 total cases, 18 active (two new cases)
Ajax — 469 total cases, 18 active (four new cases)
Whitby — 197 total cases, two active (one new case)
Oshawa — 280 total cases,  12 active (two new cases)
Clarington — 102 total cases, three active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 105 total cases, none active (no new cases)
Scugog — 20 total cases, none active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, one active (no new cases)
