Number of confirmed monkeypox cases in Durham rises to nine's Profile

The latest monkeypox update from the province shows nine confirmed cases in Durham.

There are a total of 478 cases across Ontario as of August 8.

Public health officials say 75 per cent of the cases are still in Toronto.

Fifteen people have been hospitalized due to the disease and two were treated in the ICU.

According to the province’s top doctor Kieran Moore, Ontario’s current strategy to tackle monkeypox is working and it appears cases are levelling off.
