One new case of COVID-19 reported in Durham on Friday, active cases fall to 18's Profile



Only one new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Durham Health’s Friday update.

Once again, no new deaths have been reported. The last death reported in Durham was back on July 8.

That means the death toll in the region stays at 181.

The number of active cases fell to 18. All are in home isolation.

To date there have been 1,842 cases reported in Durham.

Of those 1,643 are listed as resolved.

The one new case on Friday was reported in Pickering.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Friday:

Pickering — 604 total cases, one active (one new case)
Ajax — 497 total cases, seven active (no new cases)
Whitby — 209 total cases, seven active (no new cases)
Oshawa — 289 total cases, one active (no new cases)
Clarington — 104 total cases, two active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 108 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Scugog — 20 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
