Ontario’s Ministry of Education is cutting ties with WE Charity over the developing scandal linked to the feds.
The ministry says it won’t be renewing its contract with the organization.
As well, they’ll be investigation all the money that they’ve given to WE.
This includes the $250,000 that they pledged in June. That’s gone into a year-long program aiming to help students become more engaged in their studies and in their communities.
As the scandal has unfolded, the charity has lost support from such companies as RBC, Loblaws, GoodLife Fitness, KPMG and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
