Ontario’s top doctor appears maskless at indoor after recommending public masking's Profile

Queen’s Park is commenting on footage that appears to show the province’s top doctor at an indoor gathering without a mask on.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore is one of several partygoers featured in an Instagram story posted by the magazine Toronto Life.

The party was thrown by the magazine and Dr. Moore is listed in a recent article as one of Toronto’s 50 most influential people.

This comes days after Moore recommended Ontarians wear masks in all indoor settings. Children’s hospitals in Ontario have been grappling with a surge of respiratory illnesses.

However, that was a recommendation not made a mandate.

In response to criticism of Dr. Moore, Premier Doug Ford described masking as a personal choice.

According to a number of reports, the Ministry of Health has stated that Moore assesses each situation and takes numerous precautions.
