Fans of the Oshawa Generals came together for another socially-distanced edition of the annual Teddy Bear Toss.
While it usually sees audience members throwing bears onto a hockey rink, it was modified for a second year to be a drive-through event. The event was supposed to go in December, but was postponed amid the rise of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
People drove up Saturday outside the Tribute Communities Centre to donate stuffed animals, winter supplies and nonperishable food for Feed the Need in Durham.
In all, the team says it collected hundreds of bears.
A HUGE thank you to our presenting sponsor @CanadianTire, and all of our supporting sponsors for an amazing event today!
