Toronto police say an Oshawa man has turned himself in, two months after a fatal collision in Toronto.
Kumaran Sankarkumar, 30, was charged Friday with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death and impaired driving causing death.
Police were called March 6 to a single-vehicle collision near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Jameson Avenue.
They say Sankarkumar was driving at a high rate of speed when his BMW crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a concrete barrier.
He was taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
However, his passenger, a woman, 19, was taken to hospital where she later died.
