An Oshawa man is facing several charges after fishing gear, jewellery and construction tools were stolen in Port Perry.
On June 2, officers say a man in a U-Haul pulled up to a home on Stone Sound.
In broad daylight, the man broke into the home and loaded the U-Haul with more than $100,000 worth of Dewalt tools, fishing equipment, patio furniture and other items.
After that, the thief made his way over to a neighbouring yard and stole an entire barbecue.
On June 24, officer searched an Oshawa residence and uncovered some of the stolen items.
Aaron Clague, 50, of Oshawa is charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He was held for a bail hearing.
