Starting Monday, some of the City of Oshawa’s indoor pools, arenas, ice pads and fitness centres will be reopening, along with some other indoor facilities.
The city continues to take a phased approach to reopening, so not everything will be opening at once.
As of Monday, the Delpark Homes Centre and the South Oshawa Community Centre will reopen for some limited use of ice pads, pools and gyms.
Both centres will be operating from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., Monday to Friday, and weekends from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Although the centres will be open for some uses, lessons and leisure skates still won’t be allowed.
Use of the pools and fitness centres are by appointment only. You can call 905-436-3311 or click here to register starting Thursday morning.
To book ice at the Delpark Homes Centre, contact the facility booking office.
The Oshawa Public Libraries branch and the OSCC55+ brach at the Delpark Homes Centre will also be reopening Monday.
The OSCC55+ branch will be open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, click here for more info.
While visiting either facility, you’re asked to enter and exit through the south doors only, unless you’re using the ice pads.
You’ll have to answer a few screening questions and provide contact information before entering and follow the directional arrows on the floor once inside.
Masks are required, unless there is a valid health reason for not wearing one.
City Hall will also be reopening Monday, by appointment only.
To book an appointment, call Service Oshawa at 905-436-3311 during business hours.
Civil marriage ceremonies will start at City Hall on August 14, click here for more info.
