Oshawa woman wins $150,000 on two separate Instant Crossword scratch tickets's Profile

An Oshawa woman hit the jackpot not once, but twice in just three weeks playing OLG’s Crossword scratch games.

Susan Sos first won a $50,000 top prize on an Instant Crossword game, then a couple of weeks later, she won another $100,000 on an Instant Crossword Tripler game.

Sos, a 45-year-old financial advisor says she discovered her first win while she was out for a drive and stopped for gas and a scratch ticket.

“I found a nice quiet place to stop, enjoy the sunshine and play my ticket,” she said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “The words started coming up and I got excited. I used the OLG Lottery App to check my ticket and saw that I had won $50,000.”

Three weeks later, Sos says she was up at the cottage and decided to buy another Crossword ticket.

When she stopped to play her ticket on the way home, she found out she had won another top prize.

“I could barely speak I was in so much shock,” she said. “After both wins, I called my boyfriend and he kept saying, ‘No way!’”

“Since January I have been focused on three major goals – pay off my debt, take a small vacation and save a down payment for a home. These two wins will help accomplish all of my goals,” she concluded.

The $50,000 winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on Division Street in Cobourg, while the $100,000 ticket was purchased at Pioneer on the Run on Highway 35 in Minden.
