Police rescue seven-year-old boy hanging from Mississauga balcony's Profile

Peel police say a seven-year-old boy is safe after he wound up on the wrong side of a sixth-floor balcony in Mississauga.

Officers were called at 5:09 p.m. Friday to an apartment at Erindale Station Road and Dundas Street West.

They say the boy was playing near a window when he slipped out.  However, his mother heard his cries for help and was able to hold onto him until police were able to come and pull him up.

The child suffered no physical injuries.  However, two officers suffered injuries after breaking the glass of a nearby window.
