Police seize shotgun and ammo after arresting man in Oshawa's Profile



Durham police have seized a sawed-off shotgun after making an arrest in Oshawa.

Officers brought a man into custody around 10 a.m. Wednesday when they noticed he had an outstanding warrant. They were on foot-patrol at the time.

The arrest was made in the area of Albany Street and Albert Street.

An investigation ensued, during which they found the shotgun and some ammunition.

Kenneth Dupont, 39, of no fixed address, faces a number of gun possession charges. He has also been charged with breach of probation.
