Province confirms 106 new cases of COVID-19 and one new death on Saturday's Profile



On Saturday, 106 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ontario.

That’s a 0.3 per cent increase over the previous day.

One new death was reported bringing the death toll to 2,789.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says 27 of the province’s 34 public health units are reporting five or fewer cases, with 18 of them reporting no cases at all.

She adds that hospitalizations continue to decline across Ontario, while ICU admissions and ventilator use remains stable.

To date, 40,565 cases have been confirmed in the province.

Of those, 36,873 are listed as resolved, which is 90.9 per cent of all cases.

There are 903 actives cases across Ontario as of Saturday’s reporting time.

More than 30,000 tests were conducted the day prior to this report.
