Province reports 508 new COVID-19 cases Saturday's Profile



Ontario is reporting more than 500 new COVID cases for the second time in the past week.

The province reported 508 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, most of which are people who are not fully vaccinated or their vaccination status is unknown.

Three new deaths were announced, although three deaths were also removed from the total, which leaves the death toll at 9,896.

The province now releases data about new cases and those in hospital who are vaccinated, partially vaccinated or unvaccinated.

There are 370 more resolved cases in the province.

The number of active cases went up to 3,533.

There were 30,145 tests completed the day prior to this report.

The province reported a positivity rate of 1.9 per cent.

So far in Ontario, 22,585,340 vaccines have been administered.

According to the province, 11,521,845 people have at least one dose and 11,063,495 people are fully vaccinated or have received both doses.
