Province reports 563 new COVID-19 cases Friday's Profile



Ontario is reporting more than 500 new COVID cases for the first time since October 10.

The province reported 563 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, at least 314 of which were people who are not fully vaccinated or their vaccination status is unknown.

Five new deaths were announced, which leaves the death toll at 9,896.

The province now releases data about new cases and those in hospital who are vaccinated, partially vaccinated or unvaccinated.

As of November 4, there were 23 patients from Saskatchewan in Ontario, 22 of whom are in the ICU.

There are 352 more resolved cases in the province.

The number of active cases went up to 3,395.

There were 30,187 tests completed the day prior to this report.

The province reported a positivity rate of 1.8 per cent.

So far in Ontario, 22,585,340 vaccines have been administered.

According to the province, 11,521,845 people have at least one dose and 11,063,495 people are fully vaccinated or have received both doses.
