Province reports 666 new COVID-19 cases Sunday's Profile



The province reported 666 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, at least 366 of which were people who are not fully vaccinated or their vaccination status is unknown.

The seven-day average for Ontario is now up to 563 per day.

Four new deaths were announced, which brings the death toll to 9,934. Three deaths occurred more than one month ago and were added to the cumulative count based on data cleaning.

The province now releases data about new cases and those in hospital who are vaccinated, partially vaccinated or unvaccinated.

There are 467 more resolved cases in the province.

The number of active cases went up to 4,778.

There were 24,853 tests completed the day prior to this report.

The province reported a positivity rate of 2.7 per cent.

So far in Ontario, 22,712,900 vaccines have been administered.

According to the province, 11,565,488 people have at least one dose and 11,147,412 people are fully vaccinated or have received both doses.
