Province reports 944 new COVID-19 cases and nine more deaths on Saturday's Profile



On Saturday, 944 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Ontario, at least 651 of which were in people who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Another nine deaths were announced, bringing the death toll to 9,536. Five of the deaths occurred more than two months ago and were added due to a data clean-up.

The province now releases data about new cases and those in hospital who are vaccinated, partially vaccinated or unvaccinated.

There are 728 more resolved cases in the province.

The number of active cases went up to 6,301.

There were 26,259 tests completed the day prior to this report.

The province reported a positivity rate of 3.5 per cent.

So far in Ontario, 20,917,550 vaccines have been administered.

According to the province, 10,031,003 people are fully vaccinated or have received both doses.
