Durham Region Transit is reminding you to get home safe this New Year’s Eve.
From 7 p.m. until 4 a.m., you’ll be able to hop on a DRT bus without having to pay any fare.
Meantime, GO Transit is free between 7 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.
UP Express is free from 7 p.m. through the evening, although the airport trains do not run overnight.
The TTC in Toronto is boosting its service levels, with streetcars and subways free to ride between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Taxis are always available, although you may want to call ahead.
In an emergency, you can always call a friend.
As of Friday, Durham police had charged at least 65 people with impaired driving throughout the 2022 Festive R.I.D.E. campaign.
