A missing service dog hasn’t been seen in over a week after he ran off near an Uxbridge trail.
Shep is an 11-year-old, blind golden retriever.
He used to belong to a paralyzed first responder who broke his back on a call, until the man died a few years back.
The man’s wife has been caring for the retired service dog.
Friends of the family say Shep doesn’t live in Uxbridge.
He took off around 12:30 p.m. on June 30 as he was being walked in the woods at Thistledown Pet Cemetery at 4766 Concession 7.
Shep is wearing a brown leather collar with ID tags.
