Some selfies helped Durham police recover a stolen camera in Beaverton.
Officers say a surveillance camera was taken from a home in May and the suspect took pictures of themselves with the camera.
Little did that person know, those pictures were remotely sent to the owner.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect and locate her.
They arrested a 48-year-old woman from Brock and charged her with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Officers found the camera and returned it to its rightful owner.
