Three new cases of COVID-19 in Durham on Wednesday, active cases down to 20's Profile



There were three new cases of COVID-19 reported in Durham on Wednesday, one in Ajax and two in Whitby.

The Durham Region Health Department says there are now 20 active cases, with all being dealt with in home isolation.

That’s down from 25 active cases on Tuesday.

No new deaths were announced leaving the death toll in the region at 181.

To date 1,837 cases have been confirmed locally.

Of those 1,636 are listed as resolved.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Wednesday:

Pickering — 603 total cases, two active (no new cases)
Ajax — 496 total cases, 10 active (one new case)
Whitby — 208 total cases, six active (two new cases)
Oshawa — 289 total cases, two active (no new cases)
Clarington — 102 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 108 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Scugog — 20 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
