For the second straight day, Durham is reporting three new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths.
Monday’s update from the Durham Region Health Department showed the number of active case dropped, from 50 on Sunday to 45.
None of those 45 cases require hospitalization and all patients are isolating at home.
The death toll remains at 181, most of which have been linked to long-term care or retirement homes.
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,784 cases have been confirmed in Durham.
Of those, 1,558 are considered resolved.
Here’s the regional breakdown as of Monday:
Pickering — 595 total cases, 21 active (one new case)
Ajax — 470 total cases, nine active (one new cases)
Whitby — 197 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Oshawa — 283 total cases, 13 active (one new cases)
Clarington — 102 total cases, two active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 105 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Scugog — 20 total cases, none active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, none active (no new cases)
