Toronto police are looking to identify a suspect after they say he left anti-Black messages around a subway station.
Officers were called at 2:40 a.m. Thursday to Finch West Station, where riders had found pieces of cardboard with “derogatory messages” aimed at the Black community on them.
Police say they’re investigating it as a hate-motivated offence.
The search is on for a man, aged 28-35 with a full beard and long hair that’s been tied back. At the time, he was wearing a black hoodie with writing on the right sleeve, a black and red baseball hat with the superhero Deadpool on it, long dark shorts, black boots and black socks. He was carrying an Avengers backpack and a plastic bag.
