Toronto police have a man in custody after a stabbing in North York claimed two lives.
Police say they were responding to a call that a woman had been stabbed near Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue just after 3:30 Friday afternoon.
When they arrived police say that they found three people with injuries, all life-threatening.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not immediately verify the status of the third victim.
There will be an increased police presence in the area Saturday. Investigators will be talking to witnesses and gathering evidence.
They say there is no current danger to public safety.
