“Cruel, mean-spirited and potentially criminal.”
Those were some of the words used by Whitby MP and Government Whip Mark Holland to describe a leaked photo showing a fellow MP naked during a virtual session of Parliament.
The screenshot shows Pontiac MP William Amos standing behind a desk without any clothes on. His private parts are covered by a phone.
Amos has admitted to the “unfortunate mistake,” saying he forgot to turn off his camera as he changed clothes after a jog.
The Quebec MP has apologized for the embarrassing, but honest mistake.
Holland says the leak was a “terrible violation,” adding that it is forbidden to share photos or videos from “any non-public portion of Parliamentary proceedings.”
The image was first posted by Post Media and Sun Media. Holland is calling on the two outlets to cooperate in pending investigations by the Speaker’s Office.
