York police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman following a fire in Vaughan.
First responders were called about a structure fire around 7:45 p.m. Friday to the area of Parktree Drive and Lucena Crescent.
When they arrived at a residence in the area, they found the woman unresponsive inside.
She was pronounced dead in hospital.
Investigators are describing it as a homicide, although they say there’s no threat to the public.
