If you’re going to a Leafs game in Toronto you’re going to need proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test.
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) made the announcement on Tuesday.
The company says that new health and safety protocols will go into effect in mid-September and will apply to employees, event staff and guests.
MLSE owns the NHL’s Maple Leafs, NBA’s Raptors, CFL’s Argonauts and Toronto FC of MLS, among other teams.
It also owns Scotiabank Arena, the Raptors’ OVO practice facility and Maple Leaf Square, a development beside Scotiabank Arena that includes retail space and restaurants.
MLSE operates BMO Field, the home of the Argonauts and Toronto FC, and Coca-Cola Coliseum, the home of the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.
Dates on the implementation of the new protocols will be available in the coming weeks.
